5TH Grade

Dear Parents/ Guardians of PS 192's 5th graders,

I hope this message finds you and your families in good health and high spirits. As the school year comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and share some important information with you.

First and foremost, I want to commend each and every one of our 5th graders for their hard work, dedication, and resilience throughout this school year. It has been a challenging year for all of us, but your children have shown remarkable strength and adaptability in navigating these unprecedented times. They have truly demonstrated their ability to overcome obstacles and continue to learn and grow.

I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to you, the parents, for your unwavering support and partnership. Your involvement in your child's education has been instrumental in their success. Whether it was helping with homework, attending parent-teacher conferences, or simply providing a loving and nurturing environment at home, your contributions have made a significant impact on your child's academic journey.

As we approach the end of the school year, I want to remind you about some important dates and events. Please mark your calendars for the following:

Graduation Ceremony: Our 5th-grade graduation ceremony will be held on June 22nd, 2023 at 9:00 AM. This will be a special occasion to celebrate your child's accomplishments and bid farewell as they move on to middle school. More details will be provided closer to the date.

Report Cards: Report cards will be distributed on June 27th, 2023. They will provide a comprehensive summary of your child's academic progress and achievements throughout the year. Please take the time to review them and celebrate your child's accomplishments.

Summer Break: The summer break will commence on June 27th, 2023. It's an excellent opportunity for your child to relax, recharge, and engage in activities that foster their interests and personal growth. Encourage them to read books, explore new hobbies, and spend quality time with family and friends.

Lastly, I want to express my utmost confidence in our 5th graders as they transition to middle school. They have shown tremendous growth and maturity, and I know they will continue to shine in the years to come. I urge you to continue supporting and encouraging them in their educational journey.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support and commitment to your child's education. It has been an honor serving as the principal of P.S. 192 and witnessing the incredible achievements of our students. I wish you all a safe, enjoyable, and rejuvenating summer break.
