Benefits of Inspiration
Though research into the psychology of inspiration is relatively thin, most agree that inspiration is not a supernatural force. In everyday usage, "inspiration" is a broad label we apply to unrelated mental processes. And far from anything as mysterious as divine intervention, the sensation of being inspired is generally understood to come from somewhere within ourselves.
The benefits of inspiration, however, are well understood by most people. Feeling inspired in your day-to-day life can be crucial in unlocking creativity, increasing productivity, and boosting happiness. People who regularly feel inspired at home and work tend to be more engaged, confident, and motivated to solve problems and create new things.

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones. This year is almost over, and we at P.S. 192 look forward to another fantastic year. December is the most amazing month of the year. We are nearing the end of the exciting year 2022 and the beginning of the new year 2023.
What better way to close the year than by celebrating the community we share with our families? And what an incredible community it is!
Throughout this school year, we've had several spectacular family events, making me proud to be a part of the P.S. 192 family. This is The School of Joyful Learning!
Our Harvest Festival for the students was a success, as was the Coffee with the Principal. I hope you all sense our team's appreciation for you and your family for everything you do. I thank everyone who attended, as the turnout was phenomenal!
On Thursday, December 22, 2022, we will hold a "Holiday Celebration" for the youngsters in a family gathering style. To ensure the event's success, we want to continue our annual practice of requesting food donations from you. On Friday, December 23, we will celebrate the holidays with the parents, which is surely something you will not want to miss! In addition, the school will be closed from December 26 to January 2, 2023, for winter break.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at:
Sincerely, Hilduara Abreu Principal

Reminders
ID- To ensure the safety of children, and as per DOE regulation, you always need to bring your photo ID when you come to your child's school. Any parent who wishes to enter the school building must have an appointment and bring proof of vaccination.
School Uniform- your child must come to school Every Single Day wearing the uniform.
COVID-19 testing- All staff and students receive four at-home rapid tests monthly. If a student or staff member is exposed to COVID-19, two additional tests will be provided so staff and students can test once on the fourth day after exposure and again on the fifth day. The protocols for those experiencing COVID-like symptoms at school have not changed. Those staff and students will also be given additional rapid tests. The CDC said schools should no longer conduct routine COVID-19 testing for asymptomatic or unexposed students. Accordingly, weekly in-school random PCR testing will not take place this year.
Daily screenings discontinued- screenings for students, staff, and visitors will no longer be required. However, all visitors must show proof of vaccination before entering the school building.
Masks- will remain optional for students and staff at all grade levels. A mask is required only in the following cases: When returning to school (or on a school bus) on the sixth day after testing positive for COVID-19 through Day 10 after symptom onset or the date of a positive test, whichever is earlier. When entering the school medical room, the school nurse’s office, or a school-based health center. When exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 at school. Masks will continue to be provided in schools by request. Schools will maintain a 30-day supply at all times.
