Parent Newsletter
November 2023
Dear Esteemed Parents and Guardians,
As we usher in the month of November, we are delighted to present the monthly newsletter from P.S. 192, The School of Joyful Learning!. November is a time for reflection and the practice of gratitude, and it is with heartfelt appreciation that we address you, the loving and supportive parents who are integral to our school community.
We wish to express our profound gratitude for your unwavering partnership in our mission to provide the best learning experience for our students. Your dedication to fostering a nurturing and education-respecting environment at home lays a strong foundation upon which we can build. Together, we form a united support team for your child, facilitating holistic growth in their academic, social, and emotional development. We commend you for your continuous commitment and support of our collective efforts.
Our recent "Coffee with the Principal" event was a resounding success, and we wholeheartedly thank you for your participation. Your presence made it possible and enriched the event. As we approach the upcoming festivities, we have a series of exciting activities and events in store. Please take note of the following important dates:
- Parent-Teacher Conferences: November 3, from 12:20 to 2:20 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- Middle School Application Process Meeting: November 4, 9:30 a.m.
- Title 1 Meeting: November 10, 9:30 a.m.
- Parent Association Meeting: November 15, 4:00 p.m.
- Attendance Meeting: November 16, 9:30 a.m.
- Harvest Celebration (for students): November 21, 2023
- Coffee with the Principal (Harvest Celebration – for parents): November 23, 8:30 a.m. in person, at the library.
To ensure the success of the Parent-Teacher Conferences, we kindly request you to plan accordingly and schedule meetings with your child's teachers. We all recognize that when parents and teachers collaborate, students are better equipped to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Additionally, please remember that teachers are available every Tuesday from 2:20 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. after dismissal. This provides an excellent opportunity to engage with your child's teacher and gain insights into your child's progress at school.
In closing, on behalf of P.S. 192 The School of Joyful Learning, we extend warm wishes for a restful and joyful "Thanksgiving Recess" to all of you. Your continued support and active involvement are deeply appreciated and contribute significantly to the vibrant educational community we cherish.
Sincerely,
Hilduara Abreu
Principal
